Shogun Report August 18, 2011

“The yellowtail bit well for us most of the day. We made numerous stops, some of the fish didn't react at all and some of the schools came right to the stern boiling and biting everything that was thrown at them. It was classic drift fishing for yellowtail in this area, most of fish coming in at the 15 to 22-pound category. We have been blessed with outstanding weather so far in this trip; in fact I think some of the guys are sporting sunburns after today

Looks like the funny Neo-politen Colored Jig did it again

Near-Limits: Tuna & Yellowtail

Hey Gang

We love it when we surf the web for fishing reports on websites like FishingVideos.com and see a Happy Angler with a Trophy Catch as a result of one of our lures. Check out the recent report for the Shogun. Thank you Bill Roecker and Paul Sweeney for the great job on your website!

Seeker chartermaster Pat Doyle of San Diego stood in with the winners, with his Rollo Jackpot-winning 42.5-pound yellowtail, a slug he picked up on a Salas PL 68 jig in a sort of squid multi-color pattern.
